The meeting on Tuesday, June 10, consisted of the Business & Development Trade Show with over 20 entities represented. Since we didn’t have a speaker today, I thought I would put a “twist” on the newsletter article. We had a wide variety of companies and nonprofits represented in the Trade Show and most of the tables had giveaways for attendees to take home. There were also some nice door prizes that were donated with the winner’s names drawn by President Chris. I told most of the Tradeshow participants I would be the sole judge in the Swag Giveaway Contest by naming winners in three categories. Category One – The Most Unusual Swag Giveaway. Category Two – The Best Swag Giveaway. Category Three – The Least Desired Swag Giveaway.

Winners

Category One – The Most Unusual Swag Giveaway: The winner goes to TN Valley Fair’s “squeezable” Goat, with a close Runner-up going to Bartlett Tree Experts for their “squeezable” Acorn.

Category Two – The Best Swag Giveaway: The winner goes to Pinnacle Business Guides & Steve Burnett for a free book entitled, “The Path to the Pinnacle”. I think Steve has one of the coolest business cards too. The Runner-up goes to Virginia Babb Homes for the cool water bottles.

Category Three – The Least Desired Swag Giveaway: The winner goes to A&W Supply for the Toilet Paper & Wite-Out. Rob Johnson must have been cleaning out old merchandise as I can’t tell you the last time I used White Out. In today’s digital world, who needs it very often? Next year I suspect Rob will be giving away some old manual typewriters. The Runner-up goes to all Participants who forgot to bring Swag Giveaways. Come on now, let’s “ramp it up” for 2026!! (Just kidding)

Thanks to Aaron Price and his team who helped organize this year’s Business & Development Trade Show. We appreciate all of you who took the time to exhibit, and I think 2026 could be an even larger event. Be thinking about possible Swag Giveaways, cool Door Prizes, and inviting displays now.
